There is movement afoot at the award winning and much loved Victorian brewery, Deeds, which has partnered with Kaddy to distribute its broadened portfolio.

The renamed Deeds Group continues to produce its own brews under the guidance of newly appointed Head Brewer, Richard Hollingworth who will also lead the diversification of its portfolio, and is now distributing two imported brands: Quilmes Cerveza from Argentina and Jumping Goat liqueurs from New Zealand.

Hollingworth has worked in the brewing industry for over 26 years, and has been an Institute of Brewing and Distilling (IBD) Master Brewer for over 15.  Past experiences include being Head Brewer of Lion’s Malt Shovel Brewery, producing predominately James Squires beers and Head Brewer of Asahi Beverages in Melbourne.

Since landing with Deeds, he has expanded the portfolio launching the Pre Game Pale Ale made with one of Deeds' favourite hops - Citra, the Peanut Butter Imperial Stout, Bourbon Barrel Aged Peanut Butter Imperial Stout and the fruity and cream, Ripple Effect at a whopping 7.5 per cent.

Hollingworth said: "We're a brewery that can make the biggest, wildest, and most extravagant beers while at the same time create a perfect 4.2 per cent smasher at a very approachable price."

Deeds has also launched Skyline Seltzer looking to fill the market gap for high quality locally produced hard seltzers that deliver on taste and the 'better for you' promise.

"We wanted to launch Skyline seltzers with flavours that represented what we loved most about seltzers: freshness, fruitiness, with natural flavours."

Available in passionfruit, strawberry and lemon lime, Hollingworth says it was critical to him and his team that the product 'actually tasted true to the fruit with no nasty additives or lingering aftertastes on the palate'.

Kaddy says that the 'unmatched reach' of Kaddy Marketplace with over 3,000 trade buyers will help drive Deeds' sales in New South Wales, Victoria & the ACT.

Kaddy co-founder Rich Coombes says the partnership is beneficial both businesses:

"Deeds Group is a very exciting beverage company to be working so closely with. We’ve seen their rapid rise in popularity, and we’re looking forward to being part of their next growth phase," he said.

Established a decade ago by engineering students Patrick Alé and David Milstein, the two started as 'backyard brewers', operating as contract makers and importers before launching their first Deeds brand - Quiet Deeds - in 2012. They opened the Deeds brewery and tap house in Victoria’s Glen Iris in 2022.
