Diageo has introduced an Australian exclusive addition to its Tanqueray gin portfolio: Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla Gin & Soda.
The RTD features the unmistakable taste of Tanqueray, with an exotic twist. It follows the successful premix format launch of Tanqueray Gin & Tonic.
Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla Gin & Soda combines the bittersweet and zesty taste of Seville oranges, orange blossom and fine botanicals found in Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla, with the lightness of soda.
Linda Wellington, Diageo Marketing Manager Gin & Light Spirits, said: “The gin category continues to grow rapidly, and consumers are now better educated and more demanding.
"When we launched Tanqueray Gin & Tonic in Australia last year, we underestimated just how popular it would become!”
“It’s interesting to observe how consumers’ shifting behaviours are shaping their desires, as more look for ways to enhance at home occasions or moments to unwind. Tanqueray is the ideal choice to make those moments feel special.
"We’re excited to add Tanqueray’s Flor de Sevilla expression to the simplicity and convenience of a ready-to-drink format, especially as we move into the warmer spring months."
Gin is the fastest-growing category in alcoholic beverages in Australia, up 32% in the past year.
Net global sales of Diageo’s gin brands rose 22% in the year to June 30, with Gordon’s and Tanqueray delivering double digit growth.
Diageo is the market leader in ready-to-drink pre-mixed spirits, with brands including Smirnoff Pure, Tanqueray & Tonic and Gordon's Pink & Soda.
Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla Gin & Soda will be stocked nationwide from mid-August 2019 at all good bottle shops. It’s available in 275ml glass bottle four-packs, RRP $25.99, 5.3% ABV, 1.1 standard drinks.
