The Beverage Company, Iconic Beverages Australia and Swift + Moore have announced the formation of the Australian Beverage Group.

The group said it plans to build on the success of its members and their access to an extensive range of local and international alcoholic and alternative beverages.

ABG brings together key state based and national distribution platforms, providing independent beverage solutions to the Australian market. Its focus will be on deep local knowledge, face-to-face engagement, plus national wholesale support.

The group said its collective approach will focus on the importance of people, local knowledge, community engagement and trade partnerships.

ABG added that it aims to bring a united beverage force that will enhance and build brands that are relevant and enduring.

Swift + Moore CEO Michael Moore said: “We are very excited to be part of ABG. Being part of an extended community of people and brand builders is a natural partnership for Swift + Moore and we very much look forward to working with some of Australia’s and the world finest beverages.”

The Beverage Company’s Craig Sweet added: “ABG is a fresh and enterprising alternative that brands have been looking for in the Australian liquor market. ABG brings 80 plus years of liquor distribution and marketing experience supported by some of the best brand builders and salespeople in the country.

“The collaboration of ABG’s partners will ensure an effective route to market for Australian and worldwide brands who need to maintain their independence, while being supported by the innovative approach to distribution and consumer marketing. We are thrilled to be a part of the alliance.”

”Iconic Beverages is excited and privileged to form ABG with its other members,” said Iconic Beverages MD Dean Terranova. “Our business was founded with a vision to bring together talented industry professionals and world-renowned brands. We look forward to collaboratively building some of the world’s best brands.”

“Strength comes from having intimate knowledge in market and being able to leverage across a national platform, continued Olde. “The ABG partners have the ability to play local and act global. Beverage manufacturers are more conscious of their brand equity more than ever and the need to partner with like-minded distributors.”
