CBA owned technology platform Doshii and the Restaurant & Catering Association (RCA) have announced a new partnership to support hospitality’s road to recovery.
Doshii connects hospitality apps to venues via their POS systems, in turn double-handling and mistakes caused by managing orders across different tables and devices by connecting hospitality apps directly to a venue’s POS.
Wes Lambert, CEO of the Restaurant and Catering Association, said: “Doshii’s platform will help hospitality venues become more streamlined, efficient and will eliminate many of the administration burdens that operators face on a day-to-day basis. We are proud to have Doshii partner with R&CA to give the best possible deal for our members”
The partnership is timely. Business for hospitality apps has surged as countries around the world emerge from the pandemic with venues shift to digital reservation and operating systems.
The partnership will see the hospitality fintech help RCA members to simplify the way they do business. RCA members will benefit with 5 per cent off the bill each month.
Earlier this year, Doshii announced it was waiving monthly subscription and order fees for all existing and new customers until the end of the year in a bid to provide as much support to the industry as possible. Through POS partners, Doshii will soon be compatible with the POS systems of well over 75 per cent of Australian hospitality venues.
Justin O’Donnell, CEO of Doshii, said: “Service has and will always be an important ingredient in the in-venue hospitality experience. In the wake of COVID-19, however, it's not surprising that consumers are looking for new, contactless ways to re-engage with their favourite venues.”
Mr O’Donnell said, “Partnering with the RCA is very much part of our strategy to provide the most benefit to our customers. It’s been a tough two years for hospitality, and we believe we have a responsibility to help out wherever we can”
“We want to help venues focus on getting back on their feet and doing what they do best, without worrying about getting another bill,” he said.
“Doshii frees up more time for staff to spend with guests, especially as the orders are automated to go directly to the POS. That's more time to focus on helping customers learn about the menu and spending quality time with them.”
