RRP: 2014 Jaraman Chardonnay $25

2013 Jaraman Shiraz & 2013 Jaraman Cabernet Sauvignon $30

Taylors Wines has released three new vintages from its award-winning Jaraman range.

Like the other wines in the collection, the 2014 Taylors Jaraman Chardonnay, 2013 Taylors Jaraman Shiraz and 2013 Taylors Jaraman Cabernet Sauvignon express regional diversity, produced from fruit from the family’s vineyards in the Clare Valley, as well as selected parcels from the Coonawarra, McLaren Vale and Margaret River regions.

2014 Jaraman Chardonnay

The 2014 Jaraman Chardonnay has been made from 55 per cent Clare Valley fruit and 45 per cent from Margaret River. It has intense lifted aromas of melon and white peach with underlying subtle savoury notes from time spent in French oak. Melon and white peach follow onto the palate along with underlying creamy notes. A restrained and tightly structured chardonnay.

2013 Jaraman Shiraz

This vintage shiraz is a blend of 65 per cent of Clare Valley fruit and 35 per cent McLaren Vale fruit. It is a rich, full-bodied wine with intense flavours of ripe dark cherry, plum, blackberry and blueberry fruit and attractive spice and charry oak characters of coffee and chocolate. The palate is well-balanced with velvety tannins and a persistent, lingering finish.

2013 Jaraman Cabernet Sauvignon

This cab sauv is a careful blend of ripe fruit from Clare Valley (55 per cent) and Coonawarra (45 per cent). The resulting wine is deep red in colour with a vibrant purple hue to the edges. There are lifted aromas of cassis and blackcurrant, with subtle chocolate mint characters and complex spice and cigar box notes from the oak. It is a full-bodied, well-balanced wine, with a long and persistent finish. Will reward with some time in the cellar.
