Driving the sustainable future for Duxton Vineyards, Levi Jones has been appointed the new Project and Continuous Improvement Lead joining the company's established team of industry experts.
Jones brings almost a decade of sales, operations and team leadership experience to the role and will drive continuous improvement projects across sustainability, innovation, operational excellence and efficiency while overseeing over 2,400 hectares of vineyards owned and operated by Duxton.
“I am delighted to be a part of the Duxton Vineyards family and to be given the opportunity to advance key innovations and sustainability projects for one of Australia’s largest grape producers. With Duxton Vineyards already a trailblazer for sustainable wine production, I look forward to working across projects that will continue to see the company as a leader in this space,” he said.
Duxton Vineyards has several cutting-edge initiatives in progress across a broad spectrum of sustainable practices in water conservation, improving soil microbial diversity, soil carbon baselining, increasing soil carbon, being more efficient with energy and water and reducing waste to landfill.
The number one certified Sustainable Winegrowing Australia member in terms of vineyard planted area, one of Duxton Vineyards' achievements in this space is the extensive sustainable wine range Rewild - a brand developed with the core philosophy of protecting the planet from grape growing to winemaking, production and packaging.
Founded in 2015, Duxton Vineyards is one of Australia's largest vineyard landholders. The business owns and operates vineyards and a large-scale winery, supplying over 25 varietals in Mildura, Victoria, and the Sunraysia region of New South Wales. Production is sold to domestic and global large-scale wine businesses as bulk and bottled wine, including the company's own brand products.
