Duxton Vineyard’s new sustainable sparking brand, Solara

Sustainability pioneers Duxton Vineyards have released two new sparking varieties, a Prosecco and Chardonnay Pinot, under their new label, Solara.

Marketed as sustainable Australian sparkling wine at an affordable price, Solara’s tagline ‘Live With Fizz’ is designed to appeal to an eco-conscious, millennial audience with a penchant for local produce. Data reveals that Australian sparkling continues to dominate the local wine market, contributing to 54 per cent of total sparkling value sales.

Wayne Ellis, General Manager of Duxton Vineyards, said following the successful launch of Rewild last year, Duxton is excited to be releasing this new brand of sparkling in the Australian market.

“We have seen an increased appetite from consumers for affordable sparkling wine options that don’t compromise on taste, and Solara is our response to this demand. Solara Prosecco and Chardonnay Pinot Noir are fresh, flavourful and youthful, and perfect to enjoy as part of summer celebrations or festive drinking occasions,” he said.

Duxton Vineyards is one of Australia’s largest vineyard holders with over 26 different varietals on vine in Mildura and Sunraysia and a large, modern winery. Owning and operating over 2,400 hectares of vineyards, Duxton Vineyards produces around 4 per cent of Australia’s total grape supply.

Duxton Vineyards is a certified Sustainable Winegrowing Australia member and says this new release reflects their commitment to sustainable wine production.

Solara will be distributed by Pure Wine Co, a national sales and distribution business based in Stirling in the Adelaide Hills.
