Australian bartenders are now invited to enter Diageo’s 2017 World Class cocktail competition.

This year’s winner will be flown to Mexico City for the Global Finals in August and receive a VIP trip for two to several of Scotland’s iconic distilleries, including the Johnnie Walker experience.

New World Class Australia Ambassador, Natalie Ng, will be helping competitors through the journey. This will include running the first World Class Studios Tour, a program of educational and innovative training modules in each state.

Spaces are limited on the tour, so email Natalie@sweetandchillidrinks.com.au to book your spot as soon as possible.

How to enter

To enter, head to www.theworldclassclub.com

There are two categories. Bartenders can enter both or just one.

The theme is on socialising, looking at how modern Australians get together.

The first category ‘Set the Scene’ requires bartenders to create a cocktail that sets the scene for the night to come. The second category ‘Create the Memory’, calls on bartenders to create a drink that everyone will remember.

Entries close 17 March 2017.

The Top 100 entries will be announced on 24 March and taken through to round two.

Successful entrants must showcase their entry cocktail in their venue for the duration of the competition.
