The tempranillo joins the 2013 Shiraz in Down The Rabbit Hole’s portfolio and like its sister wine, has big flavour. Notes of dark cherries, plums and licorice, and smooth cocoa tannins are all in this wine.
The wine has been produced by the winery’s creative director Domenic Palumbo and his wife Elise with one of Australia’s top winemakers – Walter Clappis, made at Walter’s own winery in McLaren Vale.
Palumbo has also put their mark on this wine in the label; continuing their tradition of producing innovative and new wine labels, the bottle features an illustration of the moon, which Palumbo hope will communicate a sense of adventure and “inspire imagination.”
Down The Rabbit Hole wines are distributed by Ninetynine Bottles. The 2013 Shiraz and Tempranillo both retail for $24.99.
