Fergus Taylor will be the new Executive Director of Alcohol Beverages Australia (ABA) from 11 April. ABA is the new industry body that formed late last year.

Mr. Taylor was until recently Chief Adviser for the NSW Transport Workers Union and has also run his own consultancy FT Communication for several years. He was a NSW Ministerial Chief of Staff and Senior Media Adviser during the Iemma and Rees Governments.

ABA Chair, Giuseppe Minissale, has asked for the industry to support Taylor in his new role.

“I welcome the appointment of Fergus to Alcohol Beverages Australia and to representing our industry, asked industry give him every support in making ABA a success," Minissale said.

“Fergus has had a long career as a professional communicator and campaigner, and he will bring those skills and experience to ABA. His knowledge of government relations and issues management will also be very valuable.”
