Western Australian winemaker Fogarty Wine Group has taken out the trophy for Liquor Supplier of the Year at the 2019 Coles Supplier Awards.

At a gala dinner in Melbourne last week attended by more than 1,000 Coles suppliers and team members, Fogarty Wine Group was awarded for partnering with Coles to develop and produce several award-winning wines exclusive to Coles.

Fogarty Wine Group has been instrumental in launching Coles’ new James Busby range, including a Coles-exclusive Cabernet Sauvignon from the Margaret River, which has proven to be a customer favourite.

Fogarty Wine Group Chairman Peter Fogarty said: “Fogarty Wine Group is extremely proud to be chosen as the Coles Liquor Supplier of the Year. Our relationship with Coles began in 2012 when we acquired the Margaret River Vintners processing facility in Margaret River.

“Across our own branded products and the Coles private label products, we have built the volume of all products supplied to Coles Liquor significantly since the relationship started. The award recognises our ability to deliver the very best wines in a timely manner and the benefits of a strong collaboration between Coles and Fogarty Wine Group.

"We are particularly pleased to have won the award against other larger and more established producers, which is a credit to our whole team and the way we interface with the Coles Liquor team.”

“The relationship with Coles has been very beneficial to our own business and the large number of grape growers in Margaret River and Western Australia that we buy fruit from and the related industries which work with us.”

Coles Liquor Acting Chief Executive Cathi Scarce said: “I’m very excited about the exceptional range of great value exclusive liquor brands we have on offer from our partners across the country.

“It’s been a pleasure working with the Fogarty Wine Group to develop a range of premium wines from Australia’s best vineyards.”
