Tasmanian vineyard Devil’s Corner has today launched its newest addition to the Devil’s Corner range in an exclusive partnership with Endeavour Group.

Devil’s Corner Fortune Favours Pinot Noir 2021 will be sold through Dan Murphy’s retailers. Devil’s Corner Brand Manager Tarynn Barrie says the two businesses are naturally aligned.

“We share the same goal, to deliver the very best of Tasmanian cool climate wine to shoppers and consumers. The exceptional wines we create at Devil’s Corner wouldn’t exist without the challenges provided by our unique location in Tasmania. Fortune favours the bold. The brave. The determined,” she says.

This is the first release of the Devil’s Corner Fortune Favours Pinot Noir made exclusively for Endeavour Group.

“Tasmania has been one of the fastest growing wine regions in Australia over the past 12 months,” says Ben Lafford, Dan Murphy’s Red Wine Category Manager.

“We are thrilled to continue to build our premium selection of Tasmanian GI wines with Devil’s Corner Fortune Favours Pinot Noir.”

The wine has a deep ruby colour with vibrant purple edges. Select parcels of basket-pressed fruit and time maturing in oak barrel give this Pinot Noir a subtle complexity. On the nose it shows lifted red currant and cherry fruits, and dried herb spice. The palate is supple and juicy with balanced tannins and acidity.

“Tasmania is known for being one of the best places to grow Pinot Noir but we’re also at the mercy of nature in our wild little corner. Thankfully, we’ve learned to lean into the unrelenting and often unpredictable Tassie elements and harness them to create wines worthy of our place,” says Tom Wallace, Devil’s Corner Senior Winemaker.

The Devil’s Corner Estate Range, Resolution Range, and the new Fortune Favours Pinot Noir 2021 – is available now at Dan Murphy’s, Devil’s Corner cellar door and devilscorner.com.au.
