Four Pillars Gin has released their brand-new Rare Dry Gin Export Strength in an exclusive partnership with global travel retailer Heinemann. The one-litre bottle will roll out from 1 July, beginning with Heinemann’s stores in Sydney Airport.
Made using the same recipe as their signature Rare Dry Gin, the Export Strength variety comes in at a hefty 50.8 per cent ABV, making it 9 per cent higher than its original counterpart, which sits at 41.8 per cent.
Cam Mackenzie, Co-founder and Distiller at Four Pillars said the Export Strength is a celebration of ten years since Rare Dry Gin was released in 2013.
“We started working on the recipe for Rare Dry Gin ten years ago and it has become the heart and soul of Four Pillars. We haven’t changed this recipe since we first released in December 2013 so to revisit it nearly ten years on is a significant moment. And to make it strong, well that’s a distiller’s dream,” he said.
Offering more depth and power than the original Rare Dry Gin, the Export Strength features the same deep juniper canvas with loads of concentrated spice. The fresh organic oranges, a hallmark of both iterations, offer a refreshing Mediterranean twist that pairs well with tonic for a class G&T or a Martini with a twist.
David Hogan, International Sales Director at Four Pillars, said: “Global travel retail is a huge focus for Four Pillars, and we’re thrilled to bring something new, exciting and most of all delicious to the table in partnership with Heinemann. This gin offers something unique to Australian travellers familiar with the Four Pillars range while continuing to build our presence away from our home shores,” he said.
Ranjith Menon, Director of Heinemann Purchasing (LTC and P&C), adds: “We are delighted to bring Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin Export Strength to shoppers for the first time. This latest exclusive launch demonstrates our longstanding partnership with Four Pillars and the key role that iconic local brands play in creating a sense of place and a truly spectacular assortment. We look forward to bringing this Heinemann exclusive to our network.”
