Gintonica has been in business for five years this month and to celebrate it is re-releasing the calendar that started it all.
The Advent pack contains 24 gins from Australia’s most renowned and coveted gin brands, many of which are now gold, double gold, and trophy winners, and recognised as the world’s best. Additionally, it features the original eco-friendly retro packaging from 2017, complete with specially commissioned gin botanical illustrations by local artist, Liene Drulle.
Over the last five years, Gintonica has had many highlights, says Founder David Box, including securing $700,000 from equity Crowd Sourced Funding and with plans to launch a digital distillery in the coming weeks.
The cult calendar celebrates iconic gins that have stood the test of time – making it the must-have gin product of the year.
Commenting on the inspiration behind the re-release, David Box, Founder, Gintonica says: “When I started writing my book, Australian Gin in 2016, there were less than 30 commercial gin distilleries and not even 100 gins in production. Whereas now, there are well over 500 distilleries and more than 1,000 different gins. So, we felt that re-releasing this special Advent calendar was the perfect way to celebrate our fifth birthday, the vibrant, fast-growing local gin scene, and the talented people that have contributed to its success over the last five years.”
The calendar comes with tasting notes, serving suggestions from the distillers and every purchase comes with the chance to win the Mother of All Drinks Trolleys – a full bottle of each of the 24 gins featured in the calendar.
The calendar is available for pre-purchase exclusively via the Gintonica website in three $99 interest free instalments. It will be delivered mid-November in time for the Advent’s commencement on the first day of December.
