Celebrations were themed after the surf movie Point Break, seeing guests dressed in board shorts and dresses, Hawaiian prints and leis; a couple of surfboards were spotted too.
Bondi Hardware was originally named after the cluttered hardware store that had previously occupied the beachside Bondi venue. Today, the interior continues to pay homage to its heritage, displaying exposed brickwork, beams, high gabled ceilings and recycled timber.
On the night, free drinks were served to guests, including Ketel One Vodka cocktails, wines by Howard Park, Endeavour beers and Batlow ciders. While appetisers served during the evening showcased the venue’s new menu, created by Head Chef Elliot Anders, including polenta and quinoa bites, tuna poke spoons, classic beef sliders and crispy pork belly and pumpkin boats.
Monday to Sunday, Bondi Hardware serves brunch, lunch and dinner, while at the bar a range of craft bottled and draught beers, Australian and international wines, cocktails, juices and coffee are available.
