Travel and Duty-Free operator Heinemann Australia introduces its new EuroSummer retail program to Sydney and Gold Coast airports. Travellers will get an early taste of the European summer through colourful pop-ups showcasing a curated range of spirits that will inspire travellers to embrace all that is joyful about escaping the Southern Hemisphere winter.

Eurosummer makes a sunny splash in the duty-free space. Inspired by the iconic Amalfi coast a bright and zesty colour palette frames a vespa flanked with lemon trees and rustic flooring finishes.

Communications across digital channels such as Heinemann’s web shop, social media, and electronic direct mailers support the program. In-store, the Eurosummer campaign is prominent on digital screens while a dedicated EuroSummer ambassador welcomes shoppers and provides advice and guidance.

Heinemann has carefully selected participating brands to inspire travellers. Passengers can also explore spirits brands such as Aperol, Pimm’s Cup, Grey Goose and Malfy while they anticipate their own European summer holiday sipping cocktails on the beach.

“We are delighted to offer this new concept in Sydney and Gold Coast, creating our own small corner of the Mediterranean as travellers escape Australia’s winter season,” Heinemann Australia Managing Director George Tsoukalas said. “Our European Summer program is our latest initiative to make the airport a destination in and of itself, by creating constantly evolving and inspiring experiences.”

Europe is one of Australia’s most popular overseas destinations, with 20 per cent of Australian international travellers visiting Europe in 2022.* Meanwhile, Madrid, Milan, Athens, Barcelona and Rome ranked as the most popular bookings on the Australian online travel agency Webjet in the first half of last year.**

The Heinemann EuroSummer program runs from July until the end of August.
