Highland Park and Barrel & Batch have unveiled the third edition of their single cask series, the Highland Park 10-Year-Old Single Cask #3439 Ex Sherry Single Malt Whisky.
The new release continues the sherry cask influence that defined its two predecessors, characterised by its rich oily texture and a complex aroma profile.
According to Highland Park’s Master Whisky Maker Gordon Motion, #3439 “beautifully captures the wild spirit of Orkney with its rich, smoky, and complex flavours.
“The collaboration with Barrel & Batch has been exceptional, allowing us to share this unique expression with a wider audience,” he continued.
“This release complements our core range by adding a distinctive depth and character that whisky lovers will truly appreciate."
The new release was launched yesterday via a series of intimate trade events at Firedoor, Sydney. Originally distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2022, the single-cask cask-strength whisky has a 65.3% abv and retails at $199 per 700ml bottle.
