The Institute of Masters of Wine has welcomed 13 new members from eight countries, including Australia, China, France, India, Ireland, Taiwan, the UK and USA.

The new MWs are Richard Ballantyne (UK), Bree Boskov (Australia), Barbara Boyle (Ireland), Matt Deller (USA), Matthew Forster (UK), Sonal Holland (India), Jeremy Lithgow (UK), Mary Margaret McCamic (USA), Iain Munson (France), Mick O’Connell (Ireland), Mark Pygott (Taiwan), Ana-Emilia Sapungiu (UK) and Fongyee Walker (China).

Australia's Bree Boskov MW has almost two decades of international experience in wine sales and buying in both Canada and Australia. In Australia, Bree spent almost a decade in key account sales and brand management with De Bortoli Wines.

Bree is a certified WSET educator and lectures across all levels of the WSET certification, and currently works for Equilibrio Wines as Market Manager for the North American market. She has travelled extensively through wine regions in Europe, the US, South Africa and Australia with vintage positions in Australia, Austria, Portugal and Oregon, which have informed her writing for various wine publications.

The Master of Wine title is the most respected in the wine world, representing the highest level of understanding and knowledge of wine. To become a MW, individuals much complete theory and practical exams and a final research paper, which involves an in-depth study on a wine related topic.

There are now 354 Masters of Wine in 28 countries.
