Ahead of Lunar New Year 2025, Lark has unveiled The Knotted Tree and Golden Lark, a limited-edition single malt whisky matured in 100% first-fill sherry and port casks.
The distillery’s second ever Lunar New Year release, Lark partnered with Chinese artist Menghui Huang for this year’s bottle design and packaging.
According to Master Blender Chris Thomson, “this year’s Limited Release seamlessly blends the cultural richness of the Lunar New Year with the pristine beauty of Tasmania, creating a truly unforgettable single malt experience.”
Consumers should expect aromas of nutmeg and pomegranate, hints of smoke and praline, layers of chocolate and ripe stone fruits and rounded out by the taste of dates and pecan, says the distillery.
“The Knotted Tree and Golden Lark Lunar New Year release has been matured in select small first-fill sherry and port casks,” adds Thomson.
“This Tasmanian whisky weaves a rich tapestry of flavours to mark this important cultural and gifting occasion.”
Only 1,000 bottles of Lark The Knotted Tree and Golden Lark single malt whisky were made, which are available now at $288 per 500ml bottle.
Additionally, The Knotted Tree and Golden Lark gifting sleeve can be added to all 500ml Lark whisky bottles purchased during Lunar New Year.
