The biggest drinks release news of the week was Reschs Silver Bullet cans returning to NSW bottleshops after a long-running campaign by the Reschs Appreciation Society.
The cans of Reschs Pilsener – named for their distinctive colouring – held a special spot in NSW drinkers’ hearts before they were replaced with bottles around 2005.
But fans never forgot their beloved cans. And now, more than a decade later, Carlton & United Breweries is responding to their call and will start rolling them out again next week.
Calabria Family Wines has unveiled a new look for its easy-drinking Calabria Richland series.
The range refresh comes as the industry sees outstanding value growth in the $10-$15 price category.
The new-look Calabria Richland begins rolling out this week with the Calabria Richland Pinot Noir 2020. The remaining varieties across the range arrive on the shelf later this year. Available from select wine retailers for RRP $11.95.
GABS Craft Beer & Cider Festival has collaborated with craft brewers to create a limited-edition six-pack ahead of the festival in November.
Featured beers include a salt and vinegar sour from Your Mates Brewing Co (QLD), a salted caramel popcorn ale from Bright Brewery (VIC), a hazy XPA from Modus Operandi (NSW), strawberries & cream milkshake IPA from One Drop Brewing Co (NSW) and a double dose of a Golden Gaytime inspired beer from South Australia’s Big Shed Brewing Concern.
The GABS 2020 Festival Beer Mixed Six Pack is available from all Dan Murphy’s stores from July 31 and only while stocks last.
