Tasmanian distillery Lawrenny has partnered with French distributor and brand builder BBC Spirits to expand its footprint across Europe.

With the support of BBC Spirits' expertise and regional connections, the Tasmanian spirits brand will soon be available across 26 European countries including France, UK, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland and Belgium.

The opportunity to build Lawrenny’s brand in Europe is something Lawrenny co-founder Jensen Farley is extremely passionate about. “Strengthening our presence throughout Europe is a key focus of ours, and we look forward to working with the team at BBC Spirits over the coming years," he said.

Located in Tasmania’s Central Highlands, Lawrenny Estate is 400 acres of family-owned farmland renowned for producing some of the finest spirits, including award-winning gins, vodka, whisky and liqueur.

Lawrenny’s range of gins include Van Diemen’s, Highlands and the double gold-winning 1818 Settlers, while there is continued excitement around future releases of their single malt whisky.

“There are some very exciting times on the horizon for Lawrenny as we move towards the release of our unique paddock to bottle single malt whisky. We have been encouraged by the demand for local Tasmanian whisky in markets across the world," said Mr Farley.

More than just distributing Lawrenny’s range of spirits, Mr Farley was keen to partner with a company that could communicate Lawrenny’s unique story of provenance.

"It is important we work with the right distributors that have the passion and capability to present our brand effectively on our behalf. With their experience, we are confident that the team at BBC Spirits will be excellent ambassadors for Lawrenny,” he said.

The products will be launched across key markets in time for the next European spring.
