Mr. David has been on the board for over 30 years, joining in the early 1980s after he opened Elizabeth Bay Cellars, which he owns and operates today. Mr. David is also know for his purchase of Harbottle Brown in the 1970s, as well as the formation of the group of liquor licences that later became the country's very first discount liquor chain - Liquorland.
LSA Executive Director, Michael Waters, expressed his gratitude to David.
"There wouldn’t be many in our industry who wouldn’t know Michael David and it goes without saying that his contribution will be sorely missed at our regular meetings – we wish him all the very best as he embarks on his next chapter", Waters said.
Mr. Waters also welcomed new members, Carolyn Zhang, David Short, John Wilson, Guy Bredin and Con Stamoulis, who join the board for the first time this year.
Meanwhile David Reberger will remain as President of the board, joined by Vice President - Independent Retailer (Metro), Andrew Stubbs; Vice President - Independent Retailer (Country), Paul Heilman; Vice President - Chain Retailer, Jon Harris; Treasurer, Anthony Snell; and Secretary, Michael Waters.
