Prahran's Grand Lafayette has introduced a new drinks menu that includes a drip-feed cocktail.
Inspired by the popularity of vitamin saline drips, the Melbourne venue has devised a cocktail in a drip-feed bag, complete with metal hospital stand and latex tube.
Fortunately, the "Witch Antidote" isn't consumed via intravenous injection, but is designed to be a pleasant sip and conversation piece.
The drip-feed cocktail contains strawberry, lime, blueberry and apple and blackcurrant in drip-feeding bag, where punters can choose from either smoking Tequila or Japanese Yuzu.
Other Grand Lafayette potions include the ‘Mimosa Poison’, served in laboratory glass orbs.
Reviving the popularity of the eighties favourite liqueur, Blue Curacao, Mimosa Poison is a concoction of lemonade and sparkling wine, infused with applewood and garnished with blueberry and fresh lychees.
The cocktails are matched to a menu of Japanese dishes, such as Pork Tongkasu, Tako Karaage, Unagi and the ever-popular Yakitori.
Housed over two shop fronts in Clifton Street, Prahran, Grand Lafayette seats more than 100 people, and is a cafe dining and bar destination that offers two distinct services catering for the brunch coffee crowd during the day and then Japanese all-you-can-eat restaurant during the evening.
