The Drinks Industry Show is back for two jam-packed days of Seminars, Masterclasses and Spirit Tastings.
To be held from the 26th – 27th of June at Sydney’s Luna Park, the program will cover the hottest issues facing the industry right now, from the importance of design, branding and social media to the shift away from physical stores to online sales.
Event Curator and former Pernod Ricard Brand Ambassador, Ben Davidson, has created a killer lineup of tastings to give attendees a sample of the diverse range of products on offer.
To kick things off, Four Pillars, Archie Rose, 666 Vodka, Manly Spirits Gin and a number of key spirits ambassadors and distillers will host the ‘Australian Gin & the Other Craft Spirits’ session.
Following on from this, Global Mezcal ambassador, Phil Bayly, Agave Cartel boss, Reece Griffths, Agave expert and General Manager of Tio’s, Surry Hills, Alex Gilmour and artisanal Mezcal educator, Jose Ponce are getting together for their session ‘Agave Spirits – From Ancestral to Industrial (and everything in between)’. In this seminar, they will chat about the latest in Mezcal and let attendees taste some of the best agave spirits on the market.
For the grand finale, the ‘World Whisk(e)y Smackdown’ will see the best styles of whisk(e)y from Scotland, Ireland, USA, Canada, Japan and Australia battle it out for the title of the best whisk(e)y at The Drinks Industry Show.
Fiona MacDonald, Director of the Wine Chronicles, will be running a series of seminars on all areas of the industry, while the Australian Bartenders Guild will return, once again, for their annual flair and cocktail championships.
All together, the trade show will play host to more than 30 exhibitors from across the world and give professionals a unique opportunity to mingle with their peers in the industry.
