Stuart Alexander have announced that they will be exclusive distributors of De Kuyper Royal Distillers, distributing a wide range of premium liqueur and spirit brands including MUYU Liqueurs (pronounced my-yoo).

MUYU Liqueurs and can be enjoyed in a highball, on ice or as a part of a cocktail.

MUYU liqueurs are modern liqueurs developed by Alex Kratena (multi-award winning bartender and founder Tayer + Elementary), Monica Berg (Altos Bartenders' Bartender Award at the World's 50 Best Bars) and Simone Caporale (Artesian, London and P(our) co-founder).

Kratena produced Muyu Vetiver Gris (22% abv), Berg made the Muyu Jasmine Vert (24% abv) and Caporale created the Muyu Chinotto Nero (24% abv).

Working with experts, aromatic ingredients - plants, flowers and fruits - are sourced, concentrated and captured from the world’s capital in perfume, Grasse in the south of France, and Schiedam in the south of The Netherlands, a place famous for its historic distilleries.

MUYU Liqueurs are available in three expressions: Jasmine Verte, Chinotto Nero and Vetiver Gris. The full range will be available in early 2021.

 Serving Suggestion: Jasmine Higball

  • 50ml Muyu Jasmine Verte
  • 100ml chilled Champagne

Add the Muyu Jasmine Verte to a highball glass. Add Champagne slowly. Stir slowly.

    Essential oil produced from blossoms of bitter orange tree with sweet, honeyed, green notes

  • Yuzu
    Aromatic citrus with heavily scented leaves and fruit reminiscent of sudachi, mandarin, lime and grapefruit

MUYU CHINOTTO NERO: Citrusy, opulent, zesty, lush, mystical

  • Chinotto
    Myrtle leaved orange tree that resembles small sour and bitter orange
  • Oak Moss
    Species of lichens with earthy, woody notes with hints of musk and amber
  • Curaçao Orange
    Citrus fruit grown on island of Curaçao with distinct bitter taste Chincona Bark of a large evergreen shrub with distinct medicinal herbal bitter note

    Small evergreen tree native to tropical regions. Its seeds have a distinct astringent and bitter, yet not overpowering, taste

MUYU VETIVER GRIS: Earthy, woody, mystical, intriguing, endless

  • Vetiver
    Tropical grass, which has flavour of wood, earth and smokiness
  • Timur
    Nepalease pepper, which has same tongue tingling qualities as Szechuan pepper with distinct grapefruit and citrus qualities
  • Patchouli
    The plant growing as a bushy herb in tropical regions with rich, earthy woody aroma with distinct fruity note.
  • Petitgrain
    Essential oil extracted from the leaves and green twigs of the bitter orange, which has distinct greenish woody orange smell

Stuart Alexander will import, sell and market these brands in Australia, alongside premium brands including Monin Syrup, The West Winds Gin, Avosh Premium Vodka, Chase Distillers Gin and Vodka, No. 3 London Dry Gin, Don Papa Aged Rum, Berry Bros. & Rudd Classic Whisky, Avallen Spirits, Evian, Fentimans Botanical Mixers and Ocean Spray.
