Grant Burge has released a Sparking Rosé just in time for summer and the festive season.

Tapping into the increasing popularity of Sparkling Rosé, the wine is crafted with the same style as the popular Grant Burge Sparking Pinot Noir Chardonnay, the new Rosé is rich, refined and complex.

Andrew Stark, General Manager – Marketing & Category ANZP, Accolade Wines, said: "Sparkling Rosé is growing by 8.3% in value MAT which is well above the total wine category growth of 1.2%.  It is Premium Sparkling Rose ($15+) which is driving the growth +26% vs LY in value."

Grant Burge NV Pinot Noir Chardonnay Rosé is made from fruit grown in the elevated and cool climate regions of the Adelaide Hills, Alpine Valley and Eden Valley.

The grapes from these regions produce delicate aroma and flavour profiles coupled with high natural acidity and elegant structure, characters that are paramount for crafting premium sparkling wines.

Blushing savoury pink in hue, the Sparkling Rosé has a generous palate and a nose that reflects its Pinot Noir dominance with luscious berry fruit flavours accented by dusky florals, sweet spicy notes and a hint of crisp acidity.

Chief Winemaker Craig Stansborough said: “We are thrilled to expand our repertoire and welcome a NV Sparkling Pinot Noir Chardonnay Rosé into the Grant Burge family of premium sparkling wines. Our winemaking team prides itself on crafting sparkling wines with beautiful drinkability with food or on its own.

"The new Sparkling Rosé, like the Grant Burge NV Pinot Noir Chardonnay, has spent two years on tirage maturing slowly to build spectacular flavour complexity and a luxurious mouthfeel.”

Grant Burge NV Pinot Noir Chardonnay Rosé is available from October 2019 at Liquorland, First Choice, Vintage Cellars and Independent Liquor Retailers nationally at RRP $29.99 (750ml).
