De Bortoli Wines' Noble One 2016 vintage has been named in the prestigious Decanter New World Top 10 Sweet Wines.
This adds to its collection of over 150 trophies and 465 gold medals awarded throughout its 30 year history.
Of the 10 wines selected from around the world, it is the only Botrytis Semillion and one of just two Australian wines recognised.
De Bortoli Wines’ Noble One is one of the sweetest success stories in Australian winemaking history. Developed by Darren De Bortoli in 1982, the Botrytis Semillon is one of the world’s most awarded wines.
De Bortoli pioneered the production of this variety in Australia and more than three decades on, it continues to set the benchmark for Botrytis wines.
Darren De Bortoli said: “Noble One has been winning hearts and palates for three decades and this latest recognition continues to reinforce Noble One as Australia’s benchmark for sweet white wine.”
It’s fitting that the family’s flagship luxury wine is the celebratory drink of choice for the De Bortoli family.
“Noble One is the perfect gift for celebrating every life stage from graduations and engagements to weddings and newborns or even ‘everyday’ occasions like a good day at work,” added third generation family member Leanne De Bortoli,
“It’s like a sprinkling of gold confetti to make any occasion extra special.
“Noble One can also be enjoyed in many different ways and one of my favourites is serving it in a whiskey glass on the rocks.”
Noble is available in major retail bottle shops and online: 375ml - RRP $36; 750ml - RRP $79.
