Over the coming weeks, Birra Moretti will be bringing much more than just the flavour of Italy to Melbourne’s streets, with three households set to play host to an immersive ‘Deliver-a-Nonna’ in-home dining experience. As the name suggests, the evening will involve a three-course meal for you and four guests to be home-cooked by a genuine Italian grandmother: delivered to your door in Fiat 500 fashion.

With over 1.1 million Australians claiming Italian heritage, Birra Moretti is hoping the experience will stoke the Mediterranean kindling of the Melbournean identity, whilst also adding to its established gastronomic reputation. For 160 years, Birra Moretti has encapsulated the essence of Italy in everything it does, since earning itself the title of ‘Italy’s favourite beer.’

“In every recipe enjoyed throughout the Birra Moretti experience, you'll find ingredients, a legacy of love, family tradition passed down through generations and a taste of what it’s like to live authentically Italian,” said Anna Pascuzzo of Rosa’s Traditional Italian Cooking & Classes, one of the Nonna’s cooking for the experience.

“A shared meal at the table is at the heart of Italian culture and I’m excited to share this with the rest of Melbourne.”

In true Nonna spirit, Anna and her peers will also willingly share their traditional techniques and family secrets throughout the proceedings, making it a foodies’ dream.

“Whether consumers have been to Italy or not, this at-home immersive experience is designed to inspire consumers to live just a little like an authentic Italian and experience la bella vita" said Dino Bozzone, Country Manager at Birra Moretti.

The campaign will remain open until the 11th of February and will be supported by a fleet of roaming Fiat 500’s and targeted advertising. To enter, customers need only purchase a six-pack of Birra Moretti from any bottle shop and register their details at www.birramoretti.com/deliver-a-nonna
