As key contact for our client in the NSW market, this role will require a self starter who can work independently and who is results driven. This role will drive the portfolio business of our client by focusing on building new and existing trade relationships through staff educations, cocktail demonstrations and training as well as trade and consumer tastings with the ultimate goal of increasing positive brand awareness and importantly sales volumes which will be a key measure of success.
To be successful in this role you must have a clear understanding of the hospitality industry, exceptional communication skills and be able to work independently. Strong ties and relationships to existing customers in Sydney are desirable.
Primary Responsibilities:
- This will be a hands on role that will require the ability to multi-task; from representing in trade, generating sales, growing brand awareness to participating in and/or hosting events.
- Represent the brand in the Sydney Eastern Suburbs (with potential support visits to Melbourne and Brisbane) to potential and current customers with a view to growing brand awareness in a positive light, consistent with company values
- Increase distribution points and sales volumes
- Conduct staff training and educate customers in relevant markets
- On and off premise tastings, including setting up and staffing events when needed
- Grow brand awareness by executing targeted promotions and contributing to online social media
- Keep and update a weekly venue call sheet and new product listings
- Provide input to budget development and regular sales reporting as well as market data and intel
- Other ad hoc duties as required from time to time
Requirements to be considered for this role:
- Passionate about the artisanal spirit movement
- Experience in the liquor industry as well as on and off premise
- Strong hospitality background and cocktail knowledge
- Must be self motivated and outcomes driven
- Must have a high level of communication and organisation skills
- Must be flexible with hours and be able to work day, night, weekends and public holiday's when needed
