Fitzroy stalwart, The Everleigh, is celebrating a decade of serving up world-class cocktails and service.
Co-owners Michael and Zara Madrusan are pulling out all the stops for this momentous occasion starting with a bar takeover by internationally acclaimed New York bar, Attaboy, on Sunday, 29 May.
Led by Sam Ross and Michael McIlroy, Attaboy has held a spot on the World's 50 Best Bars List for over nine years, and was named Legend of the List this year. They have also received awards from Tales of the Cocktail and the James Beard Foundation.
As members of the Milk & Honey family, where Mr McIlroy also learnt his cocktail mastery, Mr Madrusan explains, the influence he and Mr Ross have had on modern classic cocktails is unparalleled. If you’ve ever enjoyed a Paper Plane, Penicillin, Right Hand or Greenpoint, you have them to thank.
Mr Madrusan says, “Reaching ten years is certainly a well-earned milestone. We’ve seen the highs and the lows. We can’t wait to celebrate the staff past and present, the loyal regulars, and the locals who have shown us such strong support over the last decade.”
“The event with Sammy and Mickey is a chance to go back to my roots and the team I came up with, that brought us to where we are today. It’s going to be exactly what it should be…big!”
Bringing their signature cocktails and fun vibes to The Everleigh for one night only, there will be a variety of seating options on sale for the Attaboy event including:
