Nobu Melbourne, in partnership with Australian wine label, Petaluma, offers Melbourne food and wine lovers a luxurious winter dining experience across July and August.

Be thankful you are in freezing grey Melbourne and not sunny Europe because your seasonal affective disorder is about to be cured. The world’s most recognised Japanese restaurant, Nobu by Nobuyuki Matsuhisa, will select some of its most famous and innovative new-style Japanese dishes to create an exclusive Omakase menu, paired perfectly with Petaluma's latest vintage wines.

The 6-course menu includes their delicious Salmon Tataki with Karashi Su Miso, the Quail Tempura, Pickled Fungus and Amazu Layu Ponzu and the famous dish Black Cod Miso. And just a little history behind this Black Cod Miso signature dish of Chef Nobuyuki, he was inspired to create it on a trip to Alaska in 1977. People have been experiencing this incredible umami taste sensation for almost 50 years.

The Petaluma wines featured on Nobu’s Omakase menu include the Yellow Label Hanlin Hill Riesling 2021, Piccadilly Valley Chardonnay 2021, Yellow Label B&V Vineyard Shiraz 2019, Yellow Label Coonawarra Merlot 2019, Yellow Label Evans Vineyard Coonawarra Cabernet Merlot 2016 and the Hanlin Hill Claire Valley Cane Cut Riesling 2018- all handpicked by Petaluma Senior Winemaker Teresa Heuzenroeder, and sure to exceed expectations and delight guests.

The Signature 6-course Omakase menu with Petaluma wine paring is $195 per person, including wine. Dinner sittings will take place from Wednesday-Sunday during July and August 2022 at Nobu, Crown Melbourne, 8 Whiteman St, Southbank, VIC, 3006
