From Saturday 1 October, over 1,100 bartenders in NSW, VIC, TAS, SA, WA and NT will be showing their U.G.L.Y. side for the Leukaemia Foundation. Venues around the country will be proudly taking up the challenge to see who will be their state’s U.G.L.Y. Bartender of the Year, raising funds to support the Leukaemia Foundation’s vital accommodation service.

U.G.L.Y. = Understanding Generous Likable You, and the bartenders wearing the iconic ‘I’m U.G.L.Y., I need help!’ tees are certainly demonstrating they fit the bill. Every year the innovation of U.G.L.Y. events impresses, with U.G.L.Y. Bartenders donning their thinking caps to come up with own unique U.G.L.Y. plan! Everything from hosting quirky events such as 24-hour marathons, blue cocktail parties, weekly U.G.L.Y. sessions and more, will be available for patrons to enjoy.

Why be U.G.L.Y.?  U.G.L.Y. bartenders get involved in raising money to help people when they need it most, providing a home away from home for people who must relocate to receive blood cancer treatment. It’s an outstanding effort for an amazing outcome, and over the past eight years U.G.L.Y. Bartender of the Year has been pivotal in allowing the Leukaemia Foundation to continue to offer and extend this service.

While QLD has wrapped up its U.G.L.Y. campaign (concluding on 12 September 2016 and raising nearly $500,000), it’s not too late to be U.G.L.Y. in your state. Visit the U.G.L.Y. website to register today!
