Premium ingredients are the feature in the latest drinks releases on shelf, from Tahitian limes to Davidson plums and smooth Peruvian coffee.

New beverage company Staple Drinks is launching an all-natural Vodka Soda Lime RTD in September.

Vodka Soda Lime contains only 89 calories per can, 4.2% ABV and low sugar (1g – derived from fruit).

Vodka Soda Lime will soon be available at selected retailers around Australia. A Gin Soda Cucumber variant will be released by Staple Drinks in October.

The West Winds has announced the early bottling of its Wild Plum Gin. The 2019 bottling of the flavoured gin was a such a sell-out success that the distillery has brought forward the date for its 2020 release.

Made with native Davidson plums and Tasmanian sloe berries, the 2020 vintage has been designed with a warm and earthy backbone to support the uniquely Australian flavours. As well as the tart finish from the Davidson plums, there’s sweetness thanks to banksia honey and the sloe berries, all balanced out with robust citrus notes.

The 2020 release will be available in store from September 2 from selected BWS and Independent liquor retail nationally, Dan Murphy’s in WA and www.amazon.com.au.

Mr Black has teamed up with Melbourne coffee pioneers ST. ALi to launch a special edition Single Origin Coffee Liqueur.

Mr Black worked with the brains trust from ST. ALi on roasting, and then blending the combination of Peruvian Cold Brew Coffee with Australian wheat vodka and a little sugar.

Global Coffee Ambassador Martin Hudak describes the aroma as “honeydew melon and red currant fruit on the nose which opens up to the comforting smell of nonna’s kitchen.”

Mr Black & ST. ALi Single Origin Liqueur is priced at $70 for a 700ml bottle.

St Hugo has announced the release of its Fine and Rare Collection, a select range of scarce back vintage wines.

St Hugo’s Fine and Rare Collection is a series of back vintage Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon that has been released to showcase the longevity and complexity that is gained by these wines with extended cellaring.

Previously only available to purchase at the St Hugo home in the Barossa, the St Hugo Fine and Rare Collection is now available to collectors and customers for purchase through select wine merchants, the St Hugo wine club, travel retail and selected venues.
