Singapore's biggest trade event, FHA2016 (Food&HotelAsia2016) began this week on Tuesday and will run until Friday. The show is expected to welcome some 3,100 exhibitors over the course of the four days, with the instalment of the first-ever ProWine ASIA at this year's expo proving to be a major attraction for visitors.

Since its debut in 1978, FHA has been an important show on the event calendar for many producers, providing the opportunity to meet with and exhibit products to the top buyers and sellers in Asia - an important market for many. Now the addition of ProWine ASIA - modelled off the renowned ProWein in Düsseldorf - will bring new varietals and the best labels from around the globe to the show ground.

The FHA Barista Challenge 2016 will also take place at this year's trade event. The challenge is a highly anticipated part of the annual show and focuses on advancing the barista profession and promoting specialty coffee and coffee excellence in the region and beyond. To promote knowledge exchange, coffee and tea enthusiasts have the opportunity to sign-up for barista skills courses available from foundation level all the way through to the new sensory judge course.
