Cape Byron Mac. Liqueur Cask Whisky
The third whisky release from Cape Byron, Macadamia Liqueur Cask celebrates the heritage of the distillery which was established by Eddie Brooke on his family’s Macadamia farm 15 minutes outside of Byron.
The Cape Byron Mac. Liqueur Cask is a single malt whisky finished in an ex-Bourbon cask that has been steeped in Brookie’s Barrel Aged Mac macadamia and wattleseed liqueur.
“We’re macadamia farmers first and foremost with a passion for rainforest regeneration,” said Brooke.
“Creating our Mac. Liqueur Cask has brought feelings of nostalgia from growing up with the rich aromas of roasted macadamias wafting through the kitchen.
“We thought we would have some fun and see what happens when maturing our macadamia liqueur into casks would do and now, we have something just brilliant!”.
Cape Byron Mac. Liqueur Cask was produced in extremely limited quantities which will be available for purchase until stocks run out here.

De Bortoli Noble One 2020
Since first launching to market in 1982, De Bortoli’s Noble One has established itself as the benchmark for Australian dessert wine both domestically and internationally.
The recent release of vintage 2020 is set to further this legacy, having already received two trophies and nine gold medals along with being named the Best Sweet White of the Year in the 2024 Halliday Wine Companion Awards.
Noble One has been made by the De Bortoli winemaking team led by Julie Mortlock, Senior Winemaker since for the last 24 years.
“We’ve come a long way… Despite these hurdles, the 2020 Noble One’s reception is truly humbling,” said Mortlock.
The 2020 vintage displays a velvety stone fruit base, with citrus, honeyed fruits and vanilla oak interlaced throughout. All the fruit is sourced from the Riverina from a mix of estate-owned vineyards and long established partner vineyards.

Waubs Harbour PX Sherry limited release whisky
Tasmania’s Waubs Harbour, the whisky distillery co-founded by ex-Lark and Overeem Rob Polmear, has released its latest limited release expression, the PX Sherry.
Waubs Harbour PX Sherry is a single cask release that embodies the distillery’s no-shortcuts approach to whisky production. This includes coopering the sherry cask on-site.
“Working on-site and in real-time with the cooper, Laurie from Encasa, to rejuvenate the cask to Rob’s specifications has given us a greater level of influence over the final flavour profile and we believe the whisky really reflects that,” said Bec Polmear, who founded Waubs Harbour along with Rob Polmear and Tim Polmear.
“It was finished in a rare 300L premium Pedro Ximenez Sherry cask from Dutschke Wines in the Barossa after initial maturation in Australian McWilliams Apera Sherry casks.”
The Wednesday online launch reportedly sold out within an hour, reflecting the strong following being developed by Waubs Harbour. Bottles have since been made available in venues around Australia and for visitors to the Waubs Harbour Distillery.
In total, only 557 bottles of the limited release whisky were made.

Sullivans Cove HH0004 24 year old
Tasmanian whisky distillery Sullivans Cove has recently released to market Australia’s oldest commercially available whisky to date, a 24 year old single-cask bottling aged in second-fill American Oak barrels.
The whisky release also coincides with the distillery’s 30th anniversary.
“The crafting of truly great single-cask whisky is a journey of engagement… the people involved must be engaged with the liquid and the process through every season of the expedition,” said Distillery Manager Heather Tillott.
“Finesse is not born of chance, but of tact and grounded engagement. Twenty-four years of listening and collaboratively working with this cask has allowed a window into the sublime, and we are delighted to share its depth and complexity with you.”
The Sullivans Cove HH0004 whisky was tasted nineteen times over the past three years alone to ensure that it would be bottled at the opportune moment. Only 335 bottles of Sullivans Cove HH0004 have been made available, all of which will be sold exclusively through the distillery’s mailing list.
Winners will be selected via ballot on Monday 20 May. To join the mailing list, click here.

Curatif launches Piña Colada premixed cocktails
Premium premixed cocktail brand Curatif have announced the addition of Piña Colada to its collection of canned cocktail varieties. The blend features a base of Appleton Estate Signature Rum and Ron Colón Salvadoreño Rum supported by roasted coconut flakes, coconut cream, and sumptuous fresh pineapple.
“The Piña Colada has been our most requested cocktail – we’ve released a few different iterations in The Club (Curatif’s subscription program) over the last couple of years and it’s developed a cult following,” said Matt Sanger, Curatif’s Managing Director.
“A Piña Colada can be a hard one to crack in a ready-to-drink format because of the complexity of the ingredients whilst staying true to the authenticity of the recipe but we have mastered a Piña Colada that is truly bar-quality.”
“What sets Curatif apart is our use of real ingredients – the freshest of pineapples, the creamiest of coconuts and the delicious blend of quality rums."
The new release is available now direct from Curatif at $45 per 4-pack.
Belvedere 10 luxury vodka
Belvedere has added a new premium vodka to its range, the Belvedere 10.
Distilled from a single harvest of organic Diamond Rye on an estate in north-east Poland, only extremely limited quantities of Belvedere 10 have been produced.
“Capturing the unedited, uncompromising mood of modern culture, Belvedere 10 and its stunning bottle are simplistic in its purity, yet architecturally magnificent,” said Francois Xavier Desplancke, President and CEO of Belvedere Vodka.
"From field to bottle, the rare organic Diamond Rye shines through every single step behind the creation of this opulent liquid.”
The 10 in its name pays homage to 1910, the year the Belvedere distillery was first established, along with the 10 months rest time employed to develop a smoother mouthfeel. The visually-striking bottle also includes ten levels.
Belvedere 10 is launching exclusively at Dan Murphy’s for retail with an RRP of $250, as well as through select venues nationally. A full list of participating venues can be viewed here.
