Nominations for the Retail Drinks' Industry Awards program have opened and will run until the end of February.
The peak national awards for Australia’s retail liquor industry, the awards celebrate the year- round efforts made by people and companies succeed in business, through superior customer service, product knowledge and professionalism.
CEO Michael Waters strongly encourages all Retail Drinks Members to nominate for this year’s awards, saying:
“Without a doubt, the Industry Awards program is always one of the highlights of the year for Retail Drinks and we know that this year will be no exception. We are extremely excited to be able to recognise the sustained excellence and professionalism demonstrated by a number of individuals and companies across our industry throughout the past year.
“We would encourage all Members to put forward a nomination for the Awards regardless of how long they have been members or how long they have been in the industry."
Six awards are given on the evening in the Retailer Awards Category:
- Liquor Store of the Year
- Large Format Liquor Store of the Year
- Online Liquor Retailer of the Year
- Liquor Store Owner of the Year
- Liquor Store Manager
- Young Liquor Retailer of the Year
while there are three awards given in the Supplier Awards category:
- Supplier of the Year
- Services Partner of the Year and
- Sales Representative of the Year).
Mr Waters says, "We were absolutely thrilled to receive a record number of nominations for last year’s Awards and we hope to receive a similarly large number of nominations for this year’s program across each of the various categories.”
Finalists will be announced in late April, and the awards presentation will take place on Wednesday, 18 May. Nominations can be made here.
