Former Treasury Wine Estates chief operating officer Robert Foye has joined Accolade Wines as COO.
Foye left TWE at the start of 2019 due to what the company described as a breach of its internal code of conduct policies.
His associate Peter Dixon, the former managing director of Asia for TWE, exited the company the following month and is now regional managing director, Asia, for Accolade Wines.
Foye spent almost five years at TWE as COO and was credited with making important breakthroughs for the company in the Asian market. He also spent 22 years with The Coca-Cola Company, including four and a half years in China.
He has been with PE firm Warburg Pincus for the last 10 months, based in Shanghai as its Senior Advisor, Asia Consumer Products.
In the announcement, Accolade also reported its upcoming plans in China, including the new marketing promotion for Hardys and Banrock Station, as well as new vintage launches for Grant Burge and St Hallett.
It's been a busy time for Accolade on the executive appointment front - Diageo Australia Commercial Director Andrew Clarke was announced as the new Regional Managing Director, ANZ, for the company in September 2019.
Ari Mervis, Accolade Wines Executive Chairman, said: “I am delighted that a leader of Andrew’s calibre has accepted the opportunity to join us at this time. Accolade Wines is embarking on an exciting growth phase, and Andrew will play a crucial role by leveraging his excellent commercial skills and experience to enhance the company’s performance across Australia and New Zealand.”
