Samuel Smith & Son (SS&S) will take over the distribution of New Zealand brand Mt Difficulty Wines nationally from 1 June 2017.
Previously distributed in Australia by Fine Wine Partners (FWP), the opportunity for SS&S to take over the agreement came about when FWP was sold to Accolade Wines earlier this year.
Mt Difficulty Wines has a reputation for producing premium wines from some of the oldest vineyards in the sub-region of Bannockburn in Central Otago, as well as its award-winning pinot noir.
Paul Midolo, Director of Strategy and Trading at SS&S said, “We are delighted to add another fine family owned brand to our portfolio. The addition of Mt Difficulty Wines will give the SS&S team another premium brand to take to market from the Central Otago region and strengthen our existing New Zealand offering.”
