Scarborough Wine Co has unveiled four new canned products: White Spritz Vermentino, Rosé Spritz, Light White Chardonnay and Light Red Tempranillo Joven. Designed to be convenient, sustainable, and suited to summer occasions, the releases champion wine from Scarborough’s existing Offshoot range.

"Innovation and sustainability are at the heart of everything we do,” said Jerome Scarborough, Winemaker.

“Whether in the vineyard, the winery or how we connect with wine drinkers, we are always looking for new ways for our customers to enjoy wine.”

The Hunter Valley wine producer identified a number of key factors for the introduction of the new range. Firstly, they can be consumed flexibly either straight from the can or as the base for a summer cocktail. Second, they feature a smaller carbon footprint than glass bottles and eliminate the risk of breakage. Thirdly, their convenience suits them to a variety of outdoor occasions. And finally, they cater to the mindful drinking crowd, who may prefer to open a can a opposed to a bottle.

Jerome Scarborough said, “we've embraced the opportunity to experiment with exciting new varieties and styles, in a new format. Our new cans deliver the same high-quality wine you expect from our family-owned Hunter Valley winery, but with added convenience. We've carefully selected lighter, more aromatic varieties perfect for enjoying in the moment."

Each of the four flavours retails at $36 per 4-pack, $108 per 12-pack, or $200 per 24-pack. Additionally, a mixed pack of 16 is also available for $136.

Scarborough Wine Co provided the following tasting notes for the four new releases:

White Spritz - Vermentino
Refreshing, zesty white wine with fruity, floral notes and a touch of bubbles.

Rosé Spritz - Pinot Noir:
A dry and delicious Hunter Valley Rosé with watermelon, crispness with light effervescence.

Light White – Chardonnay:
An elegant and fresh Chardonnay with only the slightest touch of oak. Bursting with citrus notes.

Light red - Tempranillo Joven:
Fruity and smooth. Tempranillo Joven, (which simply means young in Spanish) is an easy-drinking red wine. Recommend serving it slightly chilled.
