Soon to be announced – the Drinks Trade Hottest 100 Brands for 2023/4

Drinks Trade Winter Edition features the annual Hottest 100 Brands. Here is a teaser of what to expect.

The Hottest 100 Brands showcases those products that have flown over the past twelve months. It represents all brands, including the big brands, lesser known craft and boutiques brands, and newcomers.

The section has evolved to become a key delivery for the Drinks Trade magazine and one that is eagerly awaited by retailers, brand managers and sales teams. How do you compare to your competitors?

So how do we compile the Hottest 100?

We start with IRI MarketEdge data and the best performing brands in ten categories, searching by growth (in litres), and percentage against the previous year’s volume and, when required, overlaid this with value growth. This results in over 200 brands ranked by category on performance on the previous 12 months.

This year we are also excited to announce we have the top selling products from Endeavour Group, data which is not included in the IRI figures.

The data is then passed to our Hottest 100 Panel, experts that buy (and sell) products for thousands of stores in Australia, monitor promotions, plus experience innovations and brand launches that work. Their insights round off the Hottest 100 Brands Report for 20223/2024.

These 100 brands are divided into ten categories, with the top performing and predicted top performing brands in Australia.

Finally, a note on the layout and format of the report. Some brands clearly stand out more than others. Drinks Trade is a free service to the industry, underwritten by the Drinks Association and supported by the businesses that advertise. Within this report, only products that were nominated were offered the opportunity to either advertise or highlight their brand, thus making sure the data and voting behind the results has not been influenced.
