Stone & Wood's mini beer festival, Murbah Open Day, is back for another year at their Murwillumbah Brewery on Saturday, 5 August.

Murbah Open Day is a chance for locals and beer lovers to celebrate community, great music, tasty food and, of course, Stone & Woods brews straight from the source.

Normally closed to the public, Murbah Open Day is the only time Stone & Wood opens the doors at their Murwillumbah HQ, giving visitors a rare glimpse of the Stone & Wood engine room, with staff guiding festival goers through the site on tours throughout the day.

Murbah Open Day runs from 11 am to 5 pm and is a family-friendly event with entry to the festival gained with a gold coin donation.

Taking the opportunity to give back to the community, all profits will be donated to Wedgetail Retreat, a local support service providing free palliative care for residents of the Northern Rivers.

Wedgetail Retreat operates without government funding and relies on the support of the local community to continue providing the area with essential palliative services. Last year the brewery raised $15,000 during the open day, donating it all to Tweed Palliative Support and Wedgetail Retreat.

Details on this year's music and food line-up are yet to be confirmed, but going on last year's line-up, there will be plenty for the whole family to enjoy. Some 2022 highlights included Malt Disney, a dedicated kids area hosted by Kidz Klub, local musicians and delectable food trucks from Gunter Flammkuchen, Yummo! Bratwurst, Hummingbird & Co Catering, Fern Coffee and the region's best market stalls.
