Over the next week, 130 events will be held across 70 bars, restaurants, breweries and outdoor spaces, all coming together to celebrate craft beer.
Highlights of the week include James Squire’s Brewery Open House, inviting visitors all week to come and look behind the scenes of one of Australia’s most popular craft brews; Dessert with female owned Two Birds Brewing (Saturday 17 October); a Free Mega Beer Tasting with The Brewers (Saturday 17 October); and My Big Fat Tour (Saturday 17 October), which will take members of the public on a tour of Sydney’s best beer discoveries.
Tonight, at the Opening Night Gala, brewers and distributors will also showcase their brews to public and set the scene for the week ahead.
“The opening gala really sets the vibe for the rest of the festival,” says Joel Connolly, Director of Sydney Craft Beer Week. “We’ve got over 50 international and local craft beers, burgers and great DJs in store!”
