The rankings were released at the UK’s Global Whisky Master Awards, with Hellyers Road’s pinot noir cask finished expression placed alongside brands such as Alberta Rye’s Dark Batch Whisky and Jameson 18 Year Old.
Master Distiller, Mark Littler said the distillery was incredibly proud to be placed among the top ten, recognising the overall growth of Tasmania’s whisky industry.
“There is a lot of justifiable hype around Tasmania’s Whisky Industry at the moment and we are proud to be playing our part in its emergence", Mr. Littler said. "This international recognition for providing outstanding value is wonderful testimony to our overall brand strategy of providing world-class single malts at a very reasonable price point.
"We are a slightly larger operation than most other Australian distilleries enabling us to maintain stringent quality controls, yet still meet the demands of a rapidly growing market. We sincerely believe Hellyers Road Whiskies over-deliver on value."
Hellyers Road is now available in 21 countries.
“These are busy and exciting times for our relatively small operation”, Mr. Littler added.
