During the three day food and wine festival, Nepenthe will transport festival goers to its home in the picturesque Adelaide Hills, encouraging people to pull up a rug in the sun on the 'Nepenthe Wines Hill' to sip on some of its award-winning wines and feast on local delights. Among the wines available for purchase on the Nepenthe Wines Hill will be the Pinnacle Ithaca Chardonnay, recently awarded 95 points by James Halliday.
Scott Burton, Marketing Manager for Australian Vintage Ltd (AVL) - parent company of Nepenthe, said: “Nepenthe has always had a strong affiliation with quality artisan produce and Taste of Melbourne provides the ultimate platform for us to bring that association to life.
“Not only are our cool climate wines an ideal match for the many great restaurant dishes available over the festival days, our space inside the event pays homage to our roots which are planted in the rolling Adelaide Hills – something we wanted to bring to life for Melbourne’s food and wine community. We look forward to sharing some of our award-winning, cool climate wines with festival-goers this November.”
Other highlights of this year’s festival include the South African Garden, the Audi Brighton Platinum Lounge presented by Riedel, the opportunity to create your own gin with Bass & Flinders Distillery, the Electrolux Taste Theatre and the Artisan Producers Market, to name a few.
