Taylors' flagship Estate Pinot Noir Chardonnay Brut Cuvée has a new look, bringing a light, bright, fresh design to the bottle fermented sparkling wine.

The packaging refresh comes as demand for Australian-made sparkling is on the rise, with data and consumer analytics company GlobalData forecasting that Australian sparkling will play a substantial role in the growth of the total domestic wine market through to 2024 with a forecast CAGR of 2.7 per cent versus total wine at 2.4 per cent.

First launched in 2012, Taylors Estate Pinot Noir Chardonnay Brut Cuvée NV is made in a bottle fermented style, ensuring the classic hallmarks of fine sparkling wine exude from the glass. The cellar reserve pinot noir (52 per cent) adds structure and complexity, with the remaining 48 per cent chardonnay bringing a vibrant lift to the finished wine. The wine displays a clean, vivacious citrus flavour with an underlying creamy mousse texture. And with only 0.3 grams of residual sugar, it is tart and dry - ideal for delicious summer food pairings.

“We’re excited to bring a fresh new look to our flagship Estate sparkling in time for summer. It’s a terrific wine to enjoy at the start of a meal or with a plate of fresh oysters, my personal favourite,” Winemaker and Managing Director Mitchell Taylor said.

“There is a growing appreciation for locally made sparkling wine, particularly as drinkers look to pop the cork for more than just birthdays or anniversaries - it’s becoming a wine style enjoyed casually with friends or over a meal. This has opened the door to more producers adding sparkling wine to their portfolios and a huge array of styles on bottle shop shelves.”

Taylors’ winemaking team is no stranger to crafting exceptional sparkling wines, with Chief Winemaker (and Roseworthy graduate) Adam Eggins gaining sparkling experience at Heemskerk in Tasmania early on in his winemaking career. Adam brings his gentle approach to fruit handling to all the wines in Taylors’ portfolio, ensuring the purest fruit expression is captured in the bottle.

Taylors Wines new-look Estate Pinot Noir Chardonnay Brut Cuvée NV is now available in select wine retailers, Taylors Wines Clare Valley Cellar Door and online at www.taylorswines.com.au for RRP $22.
