Taylors Wines has won Clare Valley Wine of the Year for its 2016 Taylors Estate Chardonnay at the 2017 China Wine & Spirits Best Value Awards.

The Awards unite leading wine and spirits buyers from across Greater China to judge entries based on their suitability to the tastes of the Chinese market. Regarded as one of the most prestigious wine competitions in Asia, this year saw 35 nations participate in the tasting. Australian producers enjoyed huge success, taking home 467 awards.

This marks the fourth consecutive year Taylors Wines has received a trophy at the Awards. In addition to winning Clare Valley Wine of the Year, Taylors Wines received 10 Double Gold medals and 10 Gold medals, a record number of awards achieved for the family-owned winery at the annual competition.

Taylors Wines Managing Director Mitchell Taylor said, “We are thrilled that our wines have been awarded so highly again at this year’s Best Value Awards in China.

“Not only is it an incredible achievement and proud moment for our family winery, but a firm recognition from the Chinese market that Australian producers are consistently producing high quality, value for money wines.”
