The Wine Industry Mentor Program is a whole-sector initiative supported by Wine Communicators of Australia, The University of Adelaide, Wine Australia, the Wine Industry Suppliers Association and the Australian Society of Viticulture and Oenology.

The program is open to ‘early career professionals’ of any age with some experience who would benefit from further guidance and education to help them become the next generation of wine industry experts.

Boasting a lineup of Australia’s most respected and experienced wine sector leaders, the mentorship program includes most areas of the industry, including wine business, wine marketing, media, communications, wine education, winemaking, viticulture and oenology and wine supply management.

Open to Australian residents, the chosen participants will be paired with a mentor to help them grow personally and professionally. Each successful mentee is paired with a mentor based on personality-fit, experience and interests, desired career path and location.

The program’s stated aims are to help participants:

  • Connect with like-minded, ambitious wine professionals
  • Grow their knowledge from respected wine sector leaders
  • Aspire to be the best they can be through greater clarity of career direction and satisfaction within the wine industry.
