The 7th annual London Wine Competition, set to take place in March 2024, is now open for submissions from wine brands looking to get feedback from leading trade buyers. All are encouraged to submit samples now to take advantage of early bird discounts.
An initiative of the Beverage Trade Network, the competition was established to help drinks producers and brand owners get closer to the buyers, distributors, and retailers that can bring their products to market.
The London Wine Competition prides itself on having award-winning buyers, sommeliers and experts involved in the running and judging of the competition. This year, judging will broken down into three key areas: quality, value and Packaging and Design. A score is given by the judges for each criterion, tallying together to complete the final score.
Competition for the 2024 competition is already ramping up as the contest gains recognition worldwide. Peter Mitchell MW, Jeraboam’s Wine Director and London Wine Competition judge, said: “This is the third time I have judged the competition and the entries that I saw were generally of a higher standard than previously.”
Some new benefits for 2024 entrants include enhanced feedback features, promotion at UK trade shows, enhanced exposure for winners, a consumer awareness campaign and an expanded judging panel including highly anticipated supermarket chain buyers and off-trade buyers.
