Two industry events next week will help Australians understand the diversity of Loire Valley wine.

The Loire Valley is home to a wide range of varietals and the upcoming 2019 Tour de Loire in Sydney and Melbourne aims to help the drinks trade understand each regional expression.

Highlighting a treasure trove of famous appellations and wines, the 2019 Tour de Loire events will be showing expressions from Sancerre, Menetou-Salon, Touraine, Saumur-Champigny, Anjou, Chinon, Vouvray and Muscadet, to name just a few.

The events will bring together a selection of wines from the famous varieties of the Loire, such as Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Gamay and Sauvignon Blanc, from some of Australia’s best importers and distributors.

Australian enthusiasm for French wine is booming. Last year, for example, it was reported the French rosé category value increased 65% in value and more than 53% in volume.

Tour de Loire offer a unique chance to try some wonderful wines matched with cheese and charcuterie chosen specially for the event.

This Loire Valley wine event is for trade only and registration is required.
