Pike & Joyce Wines has entered into a new East Coast distribution partnership with The Wine Company, signifying the end of a decade-long relationship with Deja Vu Wine Co.
Starting from 1 March, all Queensland, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, and Victoria distribution of Pike & Joyce Wines will be exclusively handled by The Wine Company, while Options Wine Merchants and David Mullen Wine Agency will remain responsible for South Australia and Western Australia respectively.
“We would like to sincerely thank Deja Vu Wine Co. for their exceptional work in building the Pike & Joyce brand over the last decade,” said Jamie Pike, Managing Director of Pikes Wines and Director of Pike & Joyce Wines, the collaborative partnership between the Pike and Joyce families established in 1998.
“Their efforts have been instrumental in establishing our presence on the East Coast, and we’ve greatly enjoyed working with their team.”
Pike & Joyce Wines will join The Wine Company’s portfolio of brands such as d’Arenberg, Geoff Merrill, Tahbilk, and Yering Station.
General Manager Michael Wilson said, “we are excited to have such a well-respected Adelaide Hills family brand as part of our broader winery family. We had a gap in our range for purely Adelaide Hills region, and Pike & Joyce will fill this gap beautifully.”
Included in the Pike & Joyce portfolio are cool-climate varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, and Shiraz, all from Lenswood in the Adelaide Hills. Since 1998, the collaborative partnership has successfully united the Pike family's extensive viticultural knowledge with the Joyce family's five-generational experience of owning and managing orchards in the Adelaide hills.
“We thrilled to begin this new partnership with The Wine Company," said Jamie Pike.
“Their deep understanding of the Australian wine market and commitment to quality make them an ideal partner to take our brand forward."
